La Monica Scungilli
A staple of Italian-American Cuisine, LaMonica's Original Scungilli is made from wild-caught, fresh conch harvested in the coastal waters of the Atlantic Ocean. After it is hand-plucked and sliced, the Scungilli is fully-cooked to deliver a tender and flavorful meat.
The pale, white flesh has a texture similar to calamari, and can be served simply in a salad with some garlic, sliced onion, red pepper flakes, lemon, olive oil, and vinegar. The dark outer layer, removed mostly for aesthetic purposes, is a great addition to a simple pasta with Glorioso's Marinara sauce.
